We carry out the investigations in accordance with international standards (e.g. Environmental Due Diligence Phase I and II according to ASTM). Our strength is the translation of scientific and environmental fundamentals into concrete results that can be used in the transaction process. We can draw on the experience of over 300 environmental due diligence projects worldwide.

Our services
This is how we proceed with due diligence:
- Evaluating publicly accessible documents and documents provided by the company, checking information in the data room
- Obtaining information on the history and current use of the sites by means of interviews with site managers or, in the case of larger portfolios, by means of questionnaires
- Inspection of the sites with special attention to asbestos, production processes, building services, storage of hazardous substances, etc.
- If required, technical investigations of the subsoil, groundwater and building fabric, including sampling and determination of pollutant levels
- Summarizing the findings in a report: identifying the environmental risks, identifying the need for action and estimating the associated cost risks
- We are also happy to support you with other issues such as occupational health and safety risks, earthquake safety or ESG (environmental and social governance), which may be relevant in connection with transactions.
