Ecosens is characterized by the Swiss Certification Body for Construction Products (S-Cert AG) certified for air measurements and recognized by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) as a Radon measuring point recognized.

Winterthur district facility
The cantonal remand prison in Winterthur is outdated and does not offer enough prison places. The prison will therefore be replaced by a new building in the coming years. In addition, more office space for the public prosecutor's office and cantonal police is to be created on this site as part of the "expansion of the district facility".
The winning project in the architectural competition was submitted by the consortium Gunz & Künzle Architekten and Miebach Oberholzer Architekten from Zurich. The expansion of the Winterthur district facility is to be carried out in accordance with strict ecological, economic and energy-related criteria. Certification of the building in accordance with Minergie-P-ECO® is therefore planned.
Once completed, the district facility will have a total of 80 inmate places (today: 48 places). There will also be generous office space for the juvenile and public prosecutor's offices as well as for the cantonal police. The new and old buildings will be connected by a glazed walkway.
It is planned that the new building and the renovation of the old building will be completed by mid-2022. The existing prison wing will then be demolished. more >>
Indoor air measurement at Aarau school
The existing Gönhard school complex was extended with a new building, creating additional space for the elementary school, kindergarten and music school.
The new building was constructed in accordance with Minergie-ECO specifications. Accordingly, indoor air measurements must be carried out after completion of the construction work to ensure successful certification. They serve to check the indoor air for contamination from materials and constructions. These measurements must be carried out by a certified measuring body.
Ecosens AG has been certified accordingly by S-Cert AG since 2014.
measurements were carried out (VOC = volatile organic compounds). The analysis results showed that the indoor air is heavily contaminated with an aromatic solvent (xylene) and various other substances. It was therefore not advisable from a health point of view to use this room as it was found. The detailed analysis data showed that the air pollution was caused by the sealing of the floor with clear varnish and not by the former industrial use. On the basis of this investigation, remediation measures were developed to reduce the air pollution. more >>
DGNB certification Stücki Park Basel
In Stücki Park in Basel, House G was built and certified in accordance with the specifications of the SGNI (Swiss Sustainable Building Council). The SGNI's Swiss certification system is based on the criteria of the internationally applied DGNB standard (German Sustainable Building Council).
For successful certification, indoor air measurements must be carried out after completion of the construction work. They serve to check the indoor air for pollution caused by emissions from materials and constructions. These measurements must be carried out by a certified measuring body.
