Acceptance measurements for airtightness (blower door) - Irchel campus
Provisional laboratory FGCZ, University of Zurich Irchel Campus
The project
Location: Zurich (ZH)
Customer: Implenia Switzerland AG
Phases: Air tightness measurements (blower door) for building label SGNI / Minergie-P-ECO)
Duration: 2022
The new temporary laboratory building at the University of Zurich's Irchel campus in Zurich was constructed in accordance with the requirements of the SGNI and Minergie-P-ECO building labels. For certification, the airtightness of the building envelope had to be tested using measurement technology
Creation of the airtightness measurement concept and negotiation with the SGNI / Minergie specialist body
Positive and negative pressure test with the Blower Door system
Determination of the air exchange rates (qE50 - value according to measurement standard RILUMI)
Leak detection with nebulization / smoke sticks
Implementation and evaluation in accordance with the current guidelines SWKI VA 104-01 (VDI 6022 Sheet 1).
Preparation of test certificates in accordance with the SGNI / Minergie-P/-A standard
Challenges
The airtight level of the building corresponded to the thermal building envelope, which is why the entire building was measured as one measurement zone.
Careful inspection for systematic or individual leaks throughout the building.
