Ecological replacement and upgrading measures, Windisch

The project

Place: Windisch (AG)
Customer: Windisch municipality (AG)
Phases: Planning, submission, implementation
Period: 2017-2018
Construction costs: approx. CHF 500,000

During remediation of a contaminated site, the project perimeter was recultivated to a near-natural state and ecologically upgraded. Various small structures for wild bees, insects, birds and small mammals were created and ecologically valuable and species-rich revegetation was selected. The area affected was subsequently rezoned as a nature conservation area.
