Invasive neophytes in the Valais Alps

• Creation of a cadastre of invasive neophytes on the entire railroad network using satellite tracking devices.
• Processing the data collected on site and drawing up a control plan in collaboration with the customer and according to their needs.
• Preparation and implementation of a training course for the client's staff with the aim of teaching them how to deal with invasive neophytes.
• Success monitoring every 2 to 3 years to assess the situation and adjust the control plan if necessary.

• Field work carried out under demanding conditions: Independence from the weather, work in the immediate vicinity of trains, long distances.
• Ubiquitous vegetation, development of an efficient working method for the most comprehensive possible detection of neophytes in the field.
